We're Off and ... well, having a morning coffee, tea or something.
But then we really did get going out into the poorer part of town where the orphanage is located. Nope, not this part, poorer yet...
Traffic jams, even here.
Caused by narrow streets and few signs. We even had a quitessential Mexican standoff. A bus facing us in our lane. He won.
Now we're there. The boys are truly delightful. Fernando the house dad told us his story of grace and why he has given it all to serve Jesus alone at this orphanage.
A few games and
a treat. Donuts that were almost as hard as ringette rings. but they're thankful for everything. So were we.
Lunch With Fernando and Blanca. Don't ask what's in the soup! Apparently it tasted good.
And a bed put together.
A really good first day!
Looks like you guys jumped right in!! Way to go!!
ReplyDeletePraying for ya!!
Wonderful to see the beautiful smiles and the pictures of the children at the orphanage. You certainly blessed them with your presence. I pray that your 1 Day Camp went well, with lots of children learing that God loves them with the heart of slavation! Did they love the puppets? We continue to pray that all your needs will be met, and the God will keep you safe and well as you go about His most amazing work there in Mexico. I am sending off the bolgpost to many people each day, thanks for the updates.
ReplyDeleteMay God's many blessings surround you each step of the way.
